Since the Modi government came to power in May 2014, if there’s one thing that’s been proven without debate, it is that External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj is a bosslady when it comes to helping citizens out through Twitter!
Over the last two years, she has reunited families across the border, helped citizens find lost passports, and launched rescue operations to get Indians safely home from violence-hit areas.
What’s even more impressive is how Swaraj continues to extend help and support from AIIMS Hospital in Delhi, where she has been admitted since November 16, due to a kidney failure. Many citizens even offered their kidneys for the minister’s transplant, a gesture that has deeply moved her. Here are a few instances of how she continues to be the neta we’re all rooting for:
1. When she got the Indian High Commission in London to assist Kunwar Bisht who had to travel back home urgently to see his father in the ICU:
2. When she got the Kerala Govt. and Lt. Gov. of Delhi to act regarding two shameful incidents – the rape of a Japanese tourist and an American tourist:
3. When she helped a Ph.D scholar at AIIMS get a visa to go to Australia and present a paper:
4. When a laproscopic surgeon asked for her help to get a medical visa for a patient who was refused one:
Thanks for bringing this to my notice. We will definitely help her. pic.twitter.com/l6RfC5bWE4 https://t.co/fWBYilbPIY

5. When NDTV ran a story about an Indian who walked 1,000 km in Dubai to attend labour court proceedings in a bid to return home, and Swaraj acted fast:
Here’s wishing Swaraj a speedy recovery and hoping that other ministers take a much-needed cue from her!
